Local Resources

Most importantly, if you can turn to members of your community for support, they can provide support. But, building one’s own resource grid assures you have the resources available when needed. Listed below are organizations and agencies that offer resources to keep your grid filled. These are not all of the resources available, but many of these may be a good place to start.

Buncombe County is lucky to have many supports available (a small portion are listed below), but figuring out where to call can be overwhelming. A free call to 211 (just like dialing 911) will connect you to a live person trained to help you find the resources most useful for your particular situation.
